WELCOME TO SANAAG UNIVERSITY

The university is Known as Sanag University of Science and Technology hereafter called “USTec”, the head office is located at Erigavo the capital of the region, and it was established on 23 February 2009. USTec will be an effective higher education Institution that provides high quality standard in Education through structured Programmes in the areas of modern science, health and technology.

The need for wider consultations, research and data collection, this process was initiated by a small group of professionals, who envisage developing coherent strategy, based on the belief to train and produce world class Engineers and Scientists, which ensures students to receive a broad scientific and education as well as practical one. The resulting curriculum puts emphasis on providing sound scientific principles and applications of technology,One that cultivates the imagination, develops character and nurtures highly skilled scientists and professionals

Vision and Mission

Vision:-

USTec aims to achieve Excellency with the view of enabling students to acquire knowledge and skills in the health science, engineering, technology, management and governance.

Mission:-

USTec’s core mission is to put in place a set of learning programs leading towards higher and advanced diploma and degrees. The USTec academic structure shall initially start with foundation year [year zero] and then after foundation it will have fully fledged schools/faculties which will consist of several schools that include:

- School/faculty of Education
- School/Faculty of Public Health
- School/Faculty of Civil Engineering
- School/Faculty of Islamic Studies and Law
- School/College of Research and Development [RAD]
- School/Faculty of Business Adminstration

Foundation programme

Aims to:
Bridge the existing gap between Sanaag/other education system and that of the developed nations (i.e. USA & Europe)
It is mainly remedial course and all freshmen shall follow the same course existing professional exam College science/math chemistry biology and physics
